Can't pair Android TV with Google Home

Hi! I just got my new Sony Bravia TV today, but I cannot seem to set up this device in my Google Home app. The TV has Chromecast Built-in, which I updated now to version 1.52.253741. When I try to set up a new device in my Google Home app however, nothing shows up. Does someone know why this is the case?

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that Google Home issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions:

  • Are you able to see the built-in Chromecast in Google Home?
  • Are you using a dual-band router?
  • Are you able to see the Chromecast with another device, such as a tablet or computer?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Hi! I'm so sorry for the silence! I tried answering before but it wouldn't send sadly. Thankfully, I somehow got it to work, and now the tv works perfectly!
