Chromecast 4K - audio delay offset

michalkormanik

Hey 👋,

I have Chromecast connected via Bluetooth to speakers but there is noticeable sound delay. In apps like Kodi I can correct that but in others there is no way. Did someone found a way to set Bluetooth audio offset and sync it?

Thanks!

Hi michalkormanik,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. You must be using a Chromecast with Google TV (4K), since it’s the only version that can pair via Bluetooth. For Audio and Video out of sync, try a sequential power cycle. You can also do a factory reset and then set it up; just ensure that you add and pair the Bluetooth speaker at the end of the setup process.

Thanks,

Kimy

Hey,

I've tried power cycle, it helped a little but there is still noticeable delay in sound.
Do you have any other recommendation?

Thanks,

Michal

Thanks for the details. How about you try a factory reset and then set it up again from scratch? Let us know how it goes.

Hi 👋,

Yes sorry I tried the basic ones already. Have no idea what could work anymore that's why I reached out here.

Hi michalkormanik,

Thanks for the reply. To determine if it’s the Chromecast device, disconnect the Bluetooth speaker and have the audio come directly from the TV’s speakers. To identify if this has something to do with Bluetooth connectivity, can you try it on another Bluetooth speaker or headset? Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy

Hey 👋,

I've deleted old device and tried to pair it again with no success. Stucked on Pair confirmation screen. Now I tried to pair B&O HX headphones that I use with plenty of other devices and it is the same.

Any thoughts on this?

Thank you!
