La TV no recibe señal de video al conectarlo.

He intentado arranque pulsando el botón y no aparece tampoco el menu de inicio en android que permite reseteo.

Con lo que no tengo forma para resetearlo.

Tiene alguna solución?

Hi Jbf1,

Thank you for posting in the community and for calling my attention to the "no signal" and no boot menu on your Chromecast with Google TV. No worries, help is here.

To help me diagnose, please answer these questions:

  • What color is the LED light on your Chromecast? (e.g., solid white, blinking, or no light).
  • How far from the router is your Chromecast?
  • How is it powered? (Wall outlet with adapter, or TV's USB port?)
  • Have you tried a different HDMI port or a different TV?
  • When you tried to restart/reset with the button, what happened? (Any light change, screen flicker? How long did you hold it?)
  • Are other devices connected to the same HDMI port/power strip?
  • Did anything happen just before this started? (e.g., power flicker, update).

I look forward to hearing from you. For any additional questions or clarifications feel free to let me know.

Regards,

Humberto

Hello Humberto.
Thanks for your answer I will try to give the maximum information I have:.

Is your Chromecast firmware version up to date?.
The Chromecast with Google TV has been functioning without issues for quite some time, and I have been performing updates as I detected them, so I believe it should be updated. I am attaching a photograph of the box and the device.
Attached is a photograph of the box and the device.

What color is the LED light on your Chromecast?
When I turn it on normally (without pressing the button), the solid yellow light turns on, after a few seconds it changes to solid white, and after a few seconds it goes back to solid yellow and stays like that.
If I turn it on while holding the button, it does exactly the same thing.

How far is your Chromecast from the router?
I have 3 TVs located in different places, one next to the router, another further away, and a third connected via TPLINK, and each of them has a different Chromecast with Google TV, and this one that is failing I have tried on all of them. When it fails, it was placed on the TV next to the router.

How does it get power?
Plugged into a wall socket using the provided transformer and cable, through a switched power strip that I turn off when I am not using the Chromecast with Google TV.

Have you tried a different HDMI port or a different TV?
Yes, as I have already said, I have 3 different TVs and I have tried it on all of them and on different HDMI ports.

When he tried to reset/restart with the button, what happened?
I've explained it above, but I will include a video for further details. The screen at all times indicates that the HDMI is not receiving a signal.

How long did you hold it?
Between 15 and 20 seconds, you can see in the video.

Did something happen just before this started?
At one point when turning it on, it detected as if it were connected to the TV's USB, when in reality it was connected with its charger to the wall outlet. And I had to turn it off and restart it until it turned on normally.

I hope I have been able to clarify all your questions regarding this matter. And thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
 Jaime Bravo Fortuny
