I have a Chromecast Ultra that I am trying to setup. I did a factory reset, I am able to connect to it, because it sees it as ChromecastUltra9893 or whatever, it asks if it can share my wifi password, so I say allow, then it says its connecting to my network. It says 'finish setting up in the home app' and then changes to the slideshow with just the time and artist name in the bottom right. My phone says "connect to same wifi" and "turn off ap isolation" - AP isolation is not on. I have both 2.4 and 5ghz networks on the same ssid, never had any issues with any network setup before. It just keeps telling me I need to "connect to same wifi".

Reboot your router and your phone for good measure...make sure your phone is connected to wifi, and try once more. Chances are something for stuck during initial setup, hopefully this flushes it out 🙂

well, I rebooted my router and phone, and tried it again, I unplugged the chromecast and plugged it back in, it always stops at that same point.

Hey sp1d3rx,
Chiming in, please make sure that the mobile data on your phone is off. Also, try to forget the network on your phone then reconnect to WiFi. Once connected, try to set up your Chromecast device again.
If it still the same, try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Chromecast Ultra).
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi
