Chromecast ambient mode does not allow selection of all photo albums

My Google photos account has 140 albums.  Using Google Home and Chromecast ambient mode, only 43 of these are displayed for selection.  Why does it not allow me to select from all my albums?  (We'll leave the question as to why it only shows some photos within selected albums for another day, and yes I have curation set to live albums only)

Try this suggestion:

1. Update the Google Home and Google Photos app:

• Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Home and Google Photos app on your phone.

2. Disable and re-enable Ambient mode:

• Open the Google Home app.
• Select the Chromecast device.
• Tap the gear icon to access settings.
• Scroll down and disable Ambient mode.
• Wait a few seconds and re-enable it.

3. Factory reset your Chromecast device:

• If the above solutions didn't work, try to factory reset your Chromecast device.
• On your Chromecast device, press the reset button for about 15 seconds until the LED light blinks.
• Wait for your Chromecast device to reboot.

Additional information:

• Google Home and Chromecast Ambient mode only shows a selection of albums to optimize the visual experience.
• It may take some time for Google Photos to sync new albums with Ambient mode.
• If you have a large number of albums, it may take longer to display all of them.

Thank you for your suggestion.  I have tried all these steps but the problem remains: I have 140 albums in Photos but when I try to select them in Ambient Mode on Google Home, only 40 of them show up as available to be selected.  I'd be interested to see why "Google Home and Chromecast Ambient mode only shows a selection of albums to optimize the visual experience."   All the photos in the 100 albums not available for selection are no different in quality to the 40 that are.
