Chromecast gigabit

I was wondering if anybody had any information on the ethernet adapter and why it doesn't support gigabit Ethernet? For my understanding streaming 4K videos on YouTube uses about $140 megabits per second. Is that not over the limit of this adapter? Has anyone had any issues with it limiting bandwidth?

Hi @robtheslob1983

For most use cases, the Chromecast with Google TV can handle the 100 Mbps port on the power adapter should suffice.

If we look at YouTube 4K is around 20 Mbps, according to the support page of YouTube.
I have the ethernet adapter connected to my Chromecast, which works perfectly. 😊
