Chromecast stuck on G Logo forever

Was working fine then the other day it was just displaying the G logo.

I'm technically minded so I know Google have bricked alot of there devices and will not own up to it.

It can not be put into recovery mode, the button on the device stays permanently white while pressed down even when you remove power and do the same and plug the power back in, it can not get to the recovery screen to factory reset.

Alot of people are experiencing this same issue and it seems nothing is being done about it.. if this is true I will be contacting a friend at a well known online technology publication.

If other members found this post after suffering the same issue please reply to this post and If it's okay could my friend contact you.

So yeah Google have some explaining to do!!
