Chromecast w/google tv froze while watching Netflix

Froze watching Netflix, tried to reboot using remote with no response.  Tried restarting, tried factory reset nothing works.  Any suggestions?

Hi CruellaD,

 

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? You said nothing happened after restarting and doing a factory reset; does that mean the TV screen is still stuck on the same image even after taking those actions? Could you share a photo?

 

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Plug your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
  • Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
  • Reboot your Chromecast device directly via power.
