Connect Google Chromecast dongle to TV sound through a receiver

Have recently switched to google fiber from Spectrum.  I have a Samsung TV and my sound runs through a Yamaha receiver.  How do I attach the google chromecast dongle to this system.  (TV’s on the wall above the fireplace mantle).  Am thinking it should connect to the receiver at an HDMI IN receptacle, but want to be sure.
