Google Chromecast 4k Setup Remote Buttons "Something went wrong"

Received my new Google Chromecast 4k, and going through the setup the 'Setup remote buttons' doesn't work. Went through some of the forums and tried the following to no avail.

1) Factory Reset

2) Clear Data from "Android TV Infrared Services" app

Looking for next steps...

Android TV OS: 12

OS Build: STTE.240315.002 11695351

Post a standard reboot of the following above the device list shows. Still not an ideal thing for any non technical user to have to do for a brand new device...

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

• Have you performed a factory reset on the Chromecast device or remote?
• Is this your first time setting up the Chromecast?
• What color light is showing on your Chromecast?
• Do you mind sharing a photo of what you see on your screen?
• What do you see on the screen when you connect the Chromecast to the HDMI port?
  • Is it the Google TV screen or a setup screen?
