Hello all, I have had a Google tv for a year ish at a guess. Love it and can't fault it at all really. Today I got my dad one and noticed a few differences and I tried updating mine but says it's at the latest version, but why are they different?

I'm glad you have had such a wonderful experience. I was on the phone for 5 hours today and talked to 7 different people in trying to get this "wonderful" new tv system set up. Four of them said they would call me back if we were cut off and three of them did. I talked to people in West Virginia, San Antonio, Nicaragua, and the Philippines. The young lady from the Philippines had a strong accent and spoke so quickly I couldn't understand her 75% of the time, when I asked her to speak more slowly, she hung up (this was the "specialist" who knew all about setting up the new system). Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY frustrated. Finally, the last person I talked to (Michael in Nicaragua) set up an appointment for a technician to come and set up the system tomorrow (and we will go to a friend's house to watch the basketball game tonight since Google cut off TV service this morning). If we can't get the system working well tomorrow we'll be switching to Spectrum!!! This is the first time I've been sorely disappointed with Google Fiber customer support.
