Higher capacity drives not showing

My Haier Matrix BE Google TV is only recognizing the 64GB USB drive properly. The 2TB drive is detected but shows as empty, even though it was working fine before the recent Google TV update. Both drives have the same format, and the 2TB drive works on my laptop/PC. It seems like the update might be causing the issue with higher-capacity drives. I tried to restart tv several times and Mx player is showing this drive but tv default multiplayer is showing empty and it was working fine from last 2+ years and I think after recent update I'm facing this issue.

Hi @Engr123,

Thank you very much for contacting this community. I understand the issues you have been experiencing with your Haier Matrix BE Google TV. While it recognizes your 64 GB USB drive, it does not directly display the contents of your 2 TB drive, even though that drive has worked for over two years.

However, the drive displays its content correctly when used on a laptop or PC. I appreciate you taking the time to verify this several times, and I am here to help. Regarding this matter, I would like to ask a few questions so I can provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

  • What is you Chromecast firmware version?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Do you have other Chromecast devices in your home? If so, do they get the same issue?

Please feel free to share any additional details you think might be relevant.

Best regards,
Eduardo

I'm using my 2 TB hard drive on my C635 TCL QLED, PC, and laptop, and it's working correctly, but it shows empty on my Haier Matrix BE Google TV.
I think the issue I'm facing is from one or two months ago, most probably after I installed a new update, which I received on my Haier TV.
I had faced the same issue 2 years ago when I purchased, but I received an update, and my issue was resolved, but after two and a half years, the same issue is after installing the new update...
I will never buy Haier TVs again and will not recommend buying them because I never faced such bugs in a TCL TV for 4 years. Haier linked this issue to Google, but there is no such bug on TCL TVs, so Haier should not blame others instead of improving its own software system.
