I am using google tv, when installing update gets to 15% then error even after resetting , HELP

Downloading update when updates gets to 15% then says error every time after resetting device major resetting
Help is this the standard of google products I have a google home small that won’t connect to google home , I have tried everything to connect , but no , won’t connect . Why are these products on the market . I could produce products better and user friendly then these products which are a second hard product , not recommended for any market and who ever made these products for your company should be fired and sued for loss of income and on going legal cases

I hope that someone in senior management wakes up

Does your location have a captive portal (campground, apartments, dorm, hotel, etc) that requires a login? When the captive portal settings are enabled, these settings can prevent your Chromecast device from properly connecting to your mobile device or computer. -- See What router settings do I need to set up Chromecast?
