Is there a way to rewind a show using the Chromecast remote?

Hi AM3,
Depending on what service you are using the remote direction buttons can function differently.
YouTube & Netflix - just press the left direction button to rewind.
BBC iPlayer - press the up direction first to see the timeline and then use the left direction button to rewind.

Hey there,
As always, thanks for the help, Cathal_S.
AM3, I just want to add that you can also use the Google Assistant button on your voice remote to say a voice command such as rewind or skip back, but please take note that this voice command is only available in the US on some apps. See more info here.
Let us know if you still have other questions and concerns. We're here to help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I tried that - verbally using the assistant - at first. I don’t know what I said, but it did rewind and it took me hours back, not just the ten or so minutes I wanted. So I gave up on using the voice assistant for that. I’ve successfully used the remote suggestion that Cathal made because going back and even fast forwarding is something I periodically want to do. That information is still much appreciated.
