My chromecast remote tasted my coffee

So my remote ended in my coffee. I grabed it quickly, removed batteries and dried it for 2 days in rice.

As my remote has previously "disconnected" I knew I had to do resets. So I tried home back key, removed batteries and put them back holding the home key in, removed the one battery also whole holding down home key. Nothing

Reading some suggestions on here, factory reset of the whole thing was a suggestion. I did this and everything started up but now want the remote to comnect with Home back key.... obviously I can't do this as my remote was not responding.

I have a LED TV and am trying to setup passing the remote part. I had a virtual remote but this is alsonow not connecting to the TV. I get it to do it on bluetooth and I can accept the pair on the phone but not on the TV? Anybody please help?

Hi @Maryke 

Try to factory reset the remote again. If you still have trouble the remote may have been irreparably damaged by the coffee. The Google store does sell replacement remotes.
