Preview Disappears Spontaneously

I am streaming YouTube with chromecast and I want to select a different YT clip.

I push the down button on the remote, several rows of suggestions come up but I don't get the time to properly view them and consider them.

After five seconds without pushing any button on the remote the preview screen disappears.

I just don't have the chance to properly think about the selection that is being offered, unless I uselessly push buttons, for examply left button followed by right button.

Why not keep the preview screen active and wait until the user pushes for example the return button?

this is a common characteristic I am not happy with.
How can people have time to properly see what is being proposed if the suggestions disappear after five seconds?
