Profiile selection is a hot mess

After adding profiles the user experience on this device is a hot mess.

We have two user profiles, one is mine, the other one is my girlfriend's, Whenever I start the device (or better: turn on my tv, the Chromecast is on a seperate power source, so it's always powered) I have to choose a user - which is incredibly inconvenient, especially since the cursor is automatically on the user that was last logged in. I'm logged in to all streaming services while my girlfriend's account is not - so I want the Stick to always start logged in to my account right away - why is there no such option to set a default profile?

Then: changing accounts in youtube app. We used to be able to change accounts in the youtube app and the youtube app only. it was like 3-4 clicks and my girlfriend was logged in.

Since User Profiles have been added I have to click like 11 times to switch my profile. but then it's not changed for some reason, so i have to go through the procedure again to finally have it changed... BUT the entire Chromecast is then on the othere profile and not only the youtube app, as it used to be.

 

Is there any chance to change any of that behaviour? the user experience really went downhill since profiles have been added...

Hey. I ditched the Chromecast with google tv 4k for a Chromecast with google tv (hd) and it works fine on the latter. Which is pretty annoying but at least it fixed my issue..
