Remote white light pulsing and not pairing. Help please

Finally cleared it, 1.) Downloaded the Google tv app of you have an Android phone. Once the Google tv app launches log in with the profile your using for the Google tv. 2.) A remote control icon displays in the corner of the app. 3.) Press on the remote icon and your phone is now the remote. 4.) Got to your profile avatar click on settings. 5.) Go to remote and accessories 6.) You will probably have an update waiting but choose forget the remote so it can in pair. 7.) Pair the remote it will tell you to press the back arrow and home button to pair but for me this did nothing. However the remote address will show on the top right corner scroll over and pair the remote. Once all that is done that **bleep** flashing light is gone and then you can update the software to your Google remote which I believed cause the whole issue to happen in the first place.

Yeah me too. Tried resetting the Google tv, replaced the batteries. Removed the battery press and held the home button and put the batteries back in still no change just that **bleep** pulsating light. Updates the software as well. Bout to go get an apple tv if I can't figure this out
