Subtitles missing on viaplay

I have the viaplay app  on my google tv

i want to watch a movie on the viaplay app, but there is no subtitles 

how do I get the subtitles, it doesn't work

when i cast  from my iPhone i do have subtitles 

but why not on the app on google tv it self

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I understand you are unable to view subtitles on the Viaplay app on your Google TV 4K, although they are available when casting from your iPhone. I would be happy to help you.

To determine if the video supports subtitles or closed captioning, please check the following:

• Check the listing: On play.google.com, search for the video you want to watch. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section titled Additional Information. There, you can check if the video lists subtitles in your preferred language.
• Check the player: Alternatively, start playback of the video and select the small CC button to view captioning options.

Note: Please keep in mind that some individual content may not support subtitles.
