Ever since the latest December update, the DFU Service app (Remote Control Update Service) has become visible in the "Your apps" section. Multiple people are reporting the same issue on Reddit.
Since this is a system app, it cannot really be uninstalled and it should be hidden by default (as it most probably was up until now). Could you please take this into consideration and have the issue be fixed in the coming updates?

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. This is quite new, although I don’t think everyone is affected because both my Chromecast with Google TV 4K and HD don’t have that. This is the first post about this matter here; could you share here that Reddit post? Kindly share here your Android TV OS build and the steps you’ve tried in attempting to fix this (reboot, factory reset, etc.).
We look forward to your responses.
Thanks,
Kimy

Chromecast with GoogleTV: DFU Service: Remote Control Update Service in "Your apps"
Hide system app from home scree
Android TV OS version: 12
Android TV OS security patch level: October 1, 2023
Android TV OS build: STTE.230915.005.S1.10942527
I can almost guarantee this is more widely spread, but it could be that most people just do not care about it. For me it's quite important to have ownership over the apps that are being shown on screen, and to have something be installed over night is just bad user experience. I so far tried rebooting, checking for updates, checking app updates, etc.

Hi folks,
Just an update. A rollout for the new Android TV OS build, STTL.231114.004, has been released. Kindly update yours, and if it is not available, you may need to factory reset to force it. Let us know how it goes.
Warmly,
Kimy
