Hey guys, I need a little bit of help here. All my Chromecasts work with my "Ok Google turn on ____ TV" and "Play (whatever movie) on so and so TV". But this 4K google dongle doesn't work with it. I give the ok google command, google tells me it will play it, 3 seconds later google says "I don't understand". It used to work when I first set it up but now asking my phone or nest mini results in 100% failure to play anything ever. I always have to use the remote. If someone knows what Google did in their setting in some sort of update and if I can switch it back. Google used to work great but now I'm so sick of it I want to get rid of every nest mini and Chromecast I have, and try something else that is less aggravating. Help please if possible

Hi @Chronzo,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! Sorry to hear that you have been experiencing some inconveniences with your Chromecast 4K and your Nest Mini Speakers regarding them not receiving your commands as expected or not casting. I understand that this can be frustrating, but don’t worry! Let me handle this for you.
Before we continue, I need to get some information from you:
Once I have this information, I'll be more than happy to assist you!

Hello Debora.
This is what I have regarding your questions.
1) I have 4 regular Chromecasts. All work well except the 5th (4K one). I had, at one point 5 google home mini/nest mini's. But one by one they stopped responding to my commands. Try as I might to reboot/update them over and over again. It sort of seems Google made them obsolete and if the minis don't function like they use too, I had no use for them. I have one left that is very frustrating to use.
2) The Chromecasts all still function other then the 4K one. I have one mini left and it is soon on its way out. Which is weird because they connect to what I assume are servers, so it must be deliberate on the part of Google and are, from my guess, a way to phase out old hardware.
3) All are up to date and do not give me an option to update them
4) With the other Chromecasts, they work fine, as for the 4K version, it's a 95% fail rate on YouTube and 100% fail rate with everything else I ask it (through the mini).
4) The commands are "play (movie/show)" from (streaming service) on (name of the Chromecast). Always worked this way.
5) I tried restarting, rebooting, renaming, uninstalling, redownloading. Looking into my modem setting to see if they were being throttled, being blocked, put on a sort of restriction list (all settings were fine) I went through them with a Rogers tech
