Unable to cast from Pixel 6 Pro to Android TV with Chromecast built in

Hiya. I am getting more and more frustrated as the days go on. Up until 2 days ago, I was able to cast from my Pixel 6 Pro to my JVC TV but then suddenly stopped working. Initially I thought it was my TV so deleted it as a device on my Home app. Now unable to even locate it when trying to set it back up.

Gone through and tried loads of ways to fix this however no joy. Even called Google to no prevail.

Please help.

Hello PixiePurple,

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue casting content to your Android TV with built-in Chromecast. Let's sort this out.

Quick questions: what's the OS version of your Pixel 6 Pro? Are you getting any messages when casting from your phone to the TV? Could you try to check in the Wi-Fi settings on your phone if you can see the Chromecast SSID? If it's available in the Wi-Fi list, please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.

If the issue persists, reach out to your TV manufacturer for further help.

Best,

Jennifer
