Unable to change volume of my TV with the Chromecast Remote

As the title says, I am unable to change the volume of my TV while using the Chromecast Remote. Turning the TV on and off still works. I already changed batteries, did a factory reset,... But nothing helps. I also checked the functioning of the IR led with a camera. It does nothing when I try to change the volume but it does work when turning the TV on or off. I am on firmware version 26.7
