Unable to open Chromecast remote

Today I received my replacement for a Chromecast remote control. Regardless of all the pressure I can muster, the back of the remote will not open. Any suggestions I have seen online have only made what I already know and have already tried as above. If there are no other suggestions, I will return it to Amazon.

I understand that you have just received a new replacement Chromecast remote, but the back cover won't budge to allow battery installation, even after applying firm pressure and trying online tips. I'm glad to help you with this.

Based on the fact that the cover shouldn't be that difficult to remove, I recommend you contact your retailer (Amazon) for an alternative solution.
