chromecast battery drains fast

I am having this Chromecast for 1 year but I am having problems with the remote the battery drains easily. like i will be putting new battery once done watching it will be switched off. then the next day battery is drained already.

Please tell me the process for FDR.

Have tried but the lights turns solid but in stays that way. no pulsing lights.

Like how many minutes the light will stay solid.

Hello there,

 

Thanks for the details. You might think that it’s supposed to blink, but it shouldn’t. Check the LED closely as it starts to dim (but not completely) and then brightens. If it’s not doing what it's supposed to, then try this workaround:

 

  • Remove the batteries and give it a 2 to 3 minute rest.
  • While the batteries are out, press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds to fully drain any static power left on the chipset/motherboard of the Chromecast Voice remote, then release the button.
  • Let the remote rest again for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • You can now proceed with the factory reset of the remote.
