Chromecast cn see the wifi it saves the connection but will not connect it used to work quite well until it was turned off with the tv.
The tv it is attached to connects to the wifi the satellite box connects to the wfi the dvd player connects to the wifi all these things are near it and have not moved.
the AP has been restarted. the chromecast has been reset no difference
I have turned off several wifi devices to ensure the AP has not exceeded its number of clients. no difference
ok I resolved it signal went from poor to excellent by either moving a wire away from the chomecast about an inch or more likely by setting the correct date and time on the AP
