google tv 6 months netflix bundle

Hi, looking to purchase google tv with 6 months netflix bundle. is it possible to pause or cancel my account after redeeming so I can skip every other month and re-subscribe to stretch out the subscription over 12 months instead of 6.

 

In addition can the credit be applied to premium instead of standard, I understand the 6 month subscription is based on the standard plan.

You'll probably have better luck asking Netflix support. I doubt anyone here knows the details of how Netflix handles those promotions.

That's simply the Netflix rep not knowing the answer.  The way it worked for me with my Chromecast with Google TV credit was it was credited to my Netflix account and appeared as a balance. Saying that I don't know if any way to put the account on hold or pause which is why the question should be directed towards Netflix.

I contacted netflix first and they suggested I talk to google instead.
