I have a Pixel 7a with the "Google Home" app, paired to a (TCL - 55" Class 4 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV
Model: 55S434). I recently ran a factory reset on said TCL- After this; within the "Google Home" app, there is no longer a remote control icon/option. Previously there was, so if I couldn't find the remote that came with the TV I could use my phone as a backup. I uninstalled/reinstalled "Google Home" app, no change-
I did some quick searching and found a suggestion to download the "Google TV" app; I did so but still didn't see a remote control option.
*I know there are 3rd party apps for this; but they are filled with ads and I'd rather use a Google app if I can- anyone have any ideas on what I can do/try next?
