This is 2024 already and I am aware that some fix was done in 2023 for this, but it does not work for my Chromecast. I have tried factory reset, clearing data in the app on chromecast. Chromecast is connected to my account in Google Home app, but still cannot setup volume button since when trying to connect to my LG C3 tv it just shows 'Something went wrong' error.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Yes, this was one of the recognized bugs, and this issue did come and go until an intended patch fix was sent and completed around October 2023, although there are still users reporting this. Since you’ve already mentioned the troubleshooting steps you attempted yet it still persists, kindly fill out this form with all the needed information and let me know once it’s done so I can forward it to our support team.
