WiFi mode with or without router? Do I lose bandwidth speed if I use node without a 1 gig router .

I have google wifi ( 3 nodes). If I connect a node to the ont to act as a router do I lose bandwidth or is it better to plug the node into a switch off a moac and use the 1 Gig router to feed the moac configuration
