I have been experiencing the same issue with one of my wired protect units. Any help would be appreciated. After waking us up in the middle of the night a few times, I've had to take the unit down. I'd like to know if it needs to be fixed or replaced...

Did you use lithium batteries? I had a similar issue until I realized that you need to use special lithium AA batteries.
