Sorry if I wasn't clear, but did you try to open google assistant on
your phone & tell it to cast your phone? On my phone this did not open
the home app. Sorry if this doesn't work for you. I tried it on my

I found that the recommendation by rlowry00 to use the google assistant
by telling it to "CAST MY PHONE" and selecting "CAST SETTINGS" will
allow you to cast to a speaker group still from your phone. Not as good

I spoke with support today and they said they couldnt say whether or not
this function used to work but that they would submit is as an
improvement suggestion to the engineering team.
I did something similar with YouTube music. I downloaded the tracks to
my phone and then created a playlist in YouTube music hoping i could
cast to a speaker group but it said it cant cast device audio. So for
now im just using individual speaker cas...
