The description no longer mentions mounting to metal. And the
installation video says you must contact an electrician to install it if
no plug is available. These seem like major design oversights.
I was referring to the newest 2nd Nest Cam Outdoor Wired. Based on what
I have seen, the new mount only magnetically attaches to the camera but
not to a metal surface.
