Chromecast does need a firmware update to fix the problem over HDMI CEC
function. I use a listed TCL tv however the remote still cannot power
on/off nor control volume on the TV while everything works fine with
Amazon Fire TV stick and Shield TV
So we have to wait on a firmware update from TCL to fix this problem
while it’s not clear if they’re working on it. In terms of the IR, I
have to put the remote very close to the tv to control the volume. I
