Yes the detector with the hot batteries emitted single beeps in about 2
minute intervals. Took it down to see what the problem was, opened the
battery compartment, and tried to get the batteries out, that's when I
burned my fingers. Two of the batter...
Today the batteries in one of our Nest smoke detectors overheated so
much they burned my hand trying to get them out. Very very dangerous. I
put them out in the snow and they are still hot.
