Chromecast not casting

So l just bought a Chromecast 3rd gen device, and set it up on my Samsung smart tv, using the google home app. All connected and set up ok, but when l pull up a tv program on my Samsung galaxy phone, and click the "cast" logo...NOTHING HAPPENS ! All ...
