I honestly can’t remember if it has to be on or off for connection to
non 5g devices, but i do know that it is typically the problem, i have a
roku, chrome cast, and Nintendo switch that will not connect to my
hotspot unless it is on the right settin...
Ok, go to hotspot settings while it is on, and flip the “maximize
compatibility” setting. I have this same problem, it is because of the
5g chip in the newer phones, hope this help
