AC guy replace the connector and condenser and the component shown above and then the Nest was fine.

It is not the Nest. It was the connector, condenser and the component shown above.

Yes, it was that component and the connector had gone bad. He also replaced the condenser saying it was going, The Nest thermostat was fine once those components were replaced.
