Perhaps there are a number of defective units out there. Mine seemed to
have been working fine, and the all of a sudden it didn't. Good to know
that a replacement solved it. I may do the same. Thanks for sharing.
It's possible to restart or factory reset it. I tried both of these
things and the humidity kept reading high. I don't know about
recalibration though.
That's a good idea. I have fire foam on one side of the hole (near the
furnace) but maybe sealing the hole behind the thermostat would help. I
also suspect it is a software issue.
