Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen.) doesn't run the fan ONLY in spite of wire in 'G' connector.

I installed a Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen.) with a wire in the 'G' connector. I see the option to test the fan. But when I execute it the fan won't run. Also, if I try to run the fan from Fan icon in Quick View Menu, then it will trigger the AC...
