I did try a factor reset & combed the Internet for all available
information. Apparently this problem is not an isolated case so I
returned the Nest Thermostat. I put the Honeywell unit that preceded it
back, rewired as it was and it works perfectly....
I have the EXACT issue verbatim and none of this is working. I think I’m
taking it back for a refund which is unfortunate because I live alone
and travel for work and I liked the option of being able to remotely
adjust on hot and cool days.
