I have given up trying to find out if the known issues have been resolved in the heat links. Google have replaced my heat link unit but when I asked if the issue has been resolved in the replacement units my question was dodged by support every time....

Same here, gen 3. Looking online it seems like a common fault. Loads of people are having the same issue with the heat links just randomly dying. I hope Google offer an extended warranty for this fault. There is an obvious design flaw.
