In the Google home app, in the very top, there should be some colorful
circles that say things like "routines," "media," etc depending on what
you have on your network. There should be a circle that says "wifi."

Had this issue with a new Nest Point. Managed to get it to work using
the Google home app on a Samsung device (logged in with an account that
has access to the home group). Seems it's only a problem on Pixel
