Nest 2nd Gen Hot water will only work when heating is on.

The nest was installed when I bought the house. It’s only 2nd gen so no hot water controls on app. If I put it on eco-mode then if I demand hot water (by turning on the tap), nothing happens. If the heating is on and I demand hot water, no problem. S...
