Ummm, no. I've replaced the batteries 8 times in the past 11 months, with Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA's, and have seen no change in behavior with the problem protect. And for the record, I've had NON-lithium AA's in 2 other next protects for > 2 ye...

Same issue, 2 nest protects in service for ~ 3 years, suddenly 1 of them is going through a pack of batteries per week.
