I read that Nest Guard cellular runs on T Mobile’s 3G network. Apparently T Mobile decommissioned its 3G network in recent weeks. Is this the reason why cellular backup is suddenly not working, despite paying for the service and not having any lapses...

Yes, I have the same setup you describe and in the last few days have a “no cell backup” error. Haven’t found a fix…
