You would think that Google would do the right thing and open source the
the abandoned code. But that is to much to expect. Since the whole deal
is a money grab. They get an instant injection of fresh cash bump from
disgrunteled but captive customers...
Yes my son has 5 devices (5 zones) that he may have to replace in a
single home. Each was purchased at $250 a piece! Now, multiply that by
the number of user configuration represented by those here with
complaints and you are talking millions of doll...
Just know that with every roll of that barrel, you will be losing on the
back end as each of those products are "sunsetted." And based on the
quantityies that you have purchased, the losses will be painful either
way. Get out now and cut your losses....
