As I replied to you above, the law should not change. It's about safety
and international best practice. Google Nest are the ones in the wrong
here, cutting off all Scottish customers and many in England and certain
US states.
Their stance doesn't need to change. It's not about placating Google,
it's about protecting people's homes from burning down. The new Scottish
