Indeed, but the chromecast is directly connected to the soundbar, bypassing the tv. Like the Samsung UBD k8500 player is also connected, directly to the soundbar. I will try the chromecast in my one connect box, but this shouldn't give me Atmos, but ...

It's connected that way already.And the chromecast is connected to hdmi input 1 of the soundbar.The only thing I can try is to connect it to input 2, but that's not going to work either.

That's weird, that the chromecast would need the tv to send the Atmos signal back to the speaker.The chromecast is directly connected to the speaker, why would the sound go to the tv first and then to the speaker ? Makes no sence. That would be the s...
