Aside from false app reporting, it does actually interfere with Google
assistant from the nest point occasionally. Because the app thinks it’s
offline, eventho it’s not, it won’t respond when trying to turn on or
off the lights
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Nest thermostat and nest wifi both
show loading or offline in the home app. But when I click on them,
everything is great. I can click into wifi and my connectivity is
